We have all known about "Cheerapunji". It is the 2nd wettest place in India. We have seen the nature's beauty in there. The highlight of this place is "Double Decker bridge" It have a speciality as it is built by roots only, not from cement (or) sand. The people of "Khasi Tribes" built this beautiful bridge.
Totally it has 11 bridges in it. The roots are from the rubber trees. It takes 15 years to make stronger. The main bridge is "Umshiang Double Decker Bridge". It is 3km long & 2400 feet height. It is begins from Tyrna Village. Bottom bridge is normal but the top bridge had so many adventures in it. Then "Ritymann Root Bridge". It is "Shaky" type so one person can move on at a time others want to wait to cross the bridge.
This bridge shows the "Brilliant Architecture"."Nature is always unpredictable",This is one of the perfect example for these lines.
